Passport & Visa Photo Maker

Make a passport, visa or ID photo at the right size for your country: the head is sized to the rules, the background can be made white or blue, and you get a print sheet for 4 × 6 photo paper or A4. Free, no watermark, and your photo never leaves your device.

Right size, every time

Pick the country and document. The head is sized and placed to that photo’s rules, with guide lines to check it.

White or blue background

Replace a plain wall with white, off-white, light grey, blue or red, and fix brightness and contrast.

Print or upload

Download a print sheet for 4 × 6 paper or A4, a single photo at 300 or 600 DPI, or an online photo under the KB limit.

Taking a good passport photo at home

  • • Stand about 1 m in front of a plain white or light wall.
  • • Face a window for soft, even light, with no shadows on the face or wall.
  • • Ask someone else to take it, at eye level, from 1–1.5 m away.
  • • Look straight at the camera, neutral face, mouth closed, eyes open.
  • • Take off glasses and hats (religious head coverings are usually allowed).
  • • Keep your shoulders and the top of your hair in the photo.

Photo check

Also check yourself: neutral expression, eyes open and looking at the camera, no glasses glare, even light, and no shadow behind the head.

About the Passport Photo Maker

Passport Photo Maker turns a photo from your phone into a passport, visa or ID photo at the exact size a country asks for. Pick the document, click the top of the head and the chin, and the photo is scaled, straightened and placed to that size’s head and eye rules, with guide lines and a photo check. You can replace a plain wall with white, blue or another colour, then download a single photo, an online photo under a KB limit, or a print sheet for 4 × 6 photo paper or A4. Everything happens in your browser.

How to use it

  1. 1 Choose what the photo is for, such as Bangladesh passport, India passport, US visa or Schengen visa, then drop in a front-facing photo.
  2. 2 Click the top of the head (the hair) and then the chin. The photo is sized and centred for you; drag, zoom or straighten it if needed, and change the background colour.
  3. 3 Download the print sheet PDF or JPG and print it at actual size, or download a single photo or an online photo for an application form.

Frequently asked questions

Is this passport photo maker free?

Yes. Every size, the background change, the print sheet and the online photo are free, with no watermark and no sign-up.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The photo is opened, edited and saved inside your browser and never leaves your device. Only the size you chose is remembered in this browser.

What is the passport photo size in Bangladesh?

The Bangladesh passport photo is usually 45 × 55 mm with a white background, and many online job and exam forms on Teletalk ask for a 300 × 300 pixel photo up to 100 KB. Both are in the list. Sizes can change, so check the official notice for your application.

What is the passport photo size in India?

Indian passport photos are commonly 35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm) with a white background, while the Indian e-Visa and OCI use a 2 × 2 inch square. Check the Passport Seva or visa site before you print, as requirements are updated from time to time.

How many passport photos fit on a 4 × 6 sheet?

Eight 35 × 45 mm photos or six 2 × 2 inch photos fit on one 4 × 6 inch (4R) print. An A4 sheet holds about 30 photos of 35 × 45 mm. Choose “Fill the sheet” or a set number.

How do I print the photos at the right size?

Download the Sheet PDF and print it at 100% or “actual size”, not “fit to page”. At a photo shop, ask for a 4 × 6 print of the Sheet JPG with no cropping or borders. Measure one photo with a ruler before cutting.

Can I change the background to white or blue?

Yes, if the photo was taken against a plain, evenly lit wall. Tick “Replace the wall behind me” and choose white, off-white, light grey, blue, red or any colour. A busy background needs a retake in front of a plain wall.

What head size is required?

Each size has its own rule, for example 29–34 mm chin to crown for the UK and 25–35 mm for the US 2 × 2 inch photo. The allowed range is shown under Size, the guide lines show where the head should be, and the photo check tells you if it fits.

Can I make a photo for an online visa or job application?

Yes. “Online application photo” saves a JPG at the pixel size the form asks for and makes it as small as needed for the KB limit, such as 240 KB for the US DV lottery or 100 KB for Teletalk job forms. You can type a different limit.
